Wastewater Treatment
Anil Air Tech Engineers Pvt. Ltd. has decades of experience in tertiary treatment, enabling treated wastewater to be safely reused for irrigation, process water, industrial applications, and potable reuse.
Wastewater treatment concentrates waste materials, transforms them, and/or segregates them for disposal away from water discharging to the environment or publicly-owned treatment works (POTW). This contrasts to the old adage "dilution is the solution to pollution", which diffuses pollutants into the environment at discharge.
Sewage Treatment Plant (STP)
Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) is a facility designed to remove contaminants from wastewater and sewage, making it safe for disposal or reuse. It involves physical, chemical, and biological processes too.
Types of Sewage Treatment Plant (STP):
Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) - Advanced treatment using membrane filtraon
Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) - Biofilm-based efficient treatment
Applications : Residential Complexes, Industrial Plants of colony, Hotels & Resorts, Hospitals, Municipal Corporations, Educational Institutions
Benefits of Sewage Treatment Plants :
- Reduces pollution and protects the environment
- Converts wastewater into reusable water
- Prevents waterborne diseases
- Helps in compliance with regulatory norms
- Reduces reliance on freshwater sources
Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP)
Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) is a wastewater treatment system designed to treat industrial effluents before discharging them into the environment or reusing them. It removes contaminants such as chemicals, heavy metals, oils, and organic maer to meet environmental regulatory standards.
Types of (ETP):
Chemical Treatment ETP - Uses coagulaon, flocculaon, and precipitaon
Biological Treatment ETP - Uses microorganisms for organic waste breakdown.
Physicochemical Treatment ETP - Combines physical, chemical, and biological methods.
Membrane-Based ETP (RO, UF, MBR) - Advanced filtraon for high-quality water.
Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) ETP - Ensures no liquid waste is released.
Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) System
RO is the first major step in a Zero Liquid Discharge System, designed to maximize water recovery and minimize liquid waste. ZLD ensures no wastewater leaves the plant, making it essenal for industries facing strict environmental norms.
RO Achieves:
- 60-85% recovery (depending on TDS & design)
- Reducon of dissolved salts by 95-99%
- Major reducon of COD, BOD, hardness, and TDS load
- Lowering operang cost of
Total RO recovery can reach 75-90% before moving to evaporators.
